Purpose:
To provide training in green construction including energy-efficiency, insulation training, building
information and modeling, electrical generation/Smart Grid Technology; green building maintenance,
residential retrofitting and deconstruction.
Point of entry for individuals or businesses are the Local Workforce Boards serving:
Target Populations, Training Activities and Credentials:
New and entry level workers and incumbent workers. Individual Training Accounts (ITAs), On the Job Training
(OJT), community college classroom training or ITAs, other classroom training with appropriate training
providers, pre-apprenticeships with community colleges, apprenticeships (ABC, IBEW, etc.), and training
through Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local 24 resulting in a
certificate or national industry-recognized certification (e.g. Green Advantage LEED).
